Christian Formation is, at a very basic level, being formed and reformed by God. It is increasing our world view, changing the way we encounter God, allowing ourselves to be reshaped by the stories of our faith as we read them with 21st century lenses and experience it as people living life day to day.
Christ Care Group Christ Care groups have been ongoing in our church community for many years. Christ Care encompasses not only Bible study but mission and care-giving elements. Presently, we are reading and discussing the lectionary scriptures for the week presented in the Upper Room Disciplines. Women's Bible Study Women’s Bible study group aims for developing the role of women through studying various female biblical figures. By discussing the role of female biblical figures, the group is seeking an innovative and independent role of women in the church and society. Facing Injustice with Grace In order to face all kinds of a hate crime and injustice, GUMC has a group, which is called Facing Injustice with Grace. Through various activities like reading or doing hand craft art, the group members shares the idea how to face injustice with God's grace.
